What are the Benefits of Meditation?

 
Meditation has been used by most of the world's major religious movements, such as Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism and Christiamity. It is a form of quiet introspection with proven benefits to increase serenity, improve mood, reduce pain and it has a beneficial effect on blood pressure and cognitive function. Anyone can do it with mantra, visualisation, standing or sitting and it can cost nothing and be conducted anywhere.
