Cirque de Soleil style fashion and visage, these are 44 personalities of the circus ring who help you unleash your inner creative! The persona is a mask we wear and these masks inspire and entertain and allow you to step outside the everyday world into one of imagination and wonder. This is the place of dreams and the entrance to the Otherworld - the magic of the circus tent. The idea is that love triumps over fear and sadness, that we can all make someone 's day a happy one. There are no rules in this game! You work with intuition and a few guidelines from the book. Ask a question and choose a card. A ritual is provided to maximise the potential magic of the cards. Dedicate the cards, use words provided at each reading or make up your own. All cards are to be read upright.
Sample: Clown of Crossroads shows you a choice you must make. You are at a life-changing moment and a new pathway leads to a different life ahead. In nature, all things change and grow and a new phase is seen for you. See something through. Make that decision. Be patient, courageous and seek truth. Honour any losses and let go and release the past! To help you accept the wisdom offered by this card, say this aloud: There is one true golden path, and at the right time, illusion gives way to inner truths. With patience, peace, confidence and courage, I take a chance and make my choice. Without regret, doubt or fear, I choose the way of love and clarity. Visualise a pathway opening, paved in gold. Imagine you are walking this path towards joy and happiness.
Four layouts are suggested:
Clown Nose, a one card reading
Strong Man, a 5 card spread
Flying Trapeze, a 5 card spread
Bearded Lady, a 5 card spread
In the guidebook, the cards are shown with a black and white scan, a number and a title. Each is given an explanation. There is also a healing trick and an affirmation.
Alana Fairchild from Australia has oracle decks, books, meditation CDs, all published by Blue Angel. I like Alana's work! She is one of my favourites! Run away with the circus! Become a wild and free spirit - a child again.
