I like this book very much. It begins with a gypsy story about wholeness and the origin of the tarot. Information is provided on how to use the cards, preparing for a reading, etc. This Inner Guidebook is a teaching manual which takes the user on a journey of personal and spiritual improvement. With a Native American influence, it includes ancient wisdom, Earth honouring, personal power, and spiritual responsibility and progress, which are developed through visualisations, affirmations, exercises, diet advice, colours, invocations, a consciousness map, and grounded learning.
Designed as a bridge to a loving world and a method of healing.
The major Arcana have been renamed and the traditional titles and new titles are provided on each card which has an individual artwork image. Each major arcana is given a number and meaning, a Medicine Woman energy, a channelled message from the archetype, and other useful and appropriate information. The book provides each of the minor cards with prayers and lessons.
In this context, the word 'medicine' means 'healing'. The deck is aimed at women of power, (everyone has male and female aspects within their personality) and it can be used also for men of love, if required.
Layout suggestions are a card a day, an 8 card Chakra Tower, a Medicine Wheel spread and a single issue reading.
This is the book that is designed to accompany the Medicine Woman Tarot cards. It provides only small black and white scans of the cards so make sure you buy the accompanying card deck. The author was brought up in mystical knowledge associated with the Catholic tradition and had an epiphany relating to compassion for all living beings. She has studied psychology, women's issues, communal living, new relationship modalities, and she supplies both text and artwork. Life-changing! Don't miss this one!
