The Master, The Raven and The Ageless Teapot Review

Circle Network Book Review: The Master, The Raven, and The Ageless Teapot - And All Because of the Letter by Denise McDermott-King, paperback published by Axis Munda Books, £9.99 141 pages, Author website: www.dmdking.com

This is the follow up book to McDermott-King's first, titled 'The Master, The Lover and Me'. Having not read the first, I found this was an adequate 'stand alone' book which can be appreciated in its own right. The author is knowledgeable about Theosophy and related esoteric subjects which provide the basis of recent interest in the communication with spirit guides. It is however, a very ancient philosophy that she has accessed for these two books.

Not just communication with spirit guides, but a close bond and relationship with them is the subject of this book. It straddles many opposites: fiction and truth; dream and reality; the mystical and the mundane; knowing and questioning; consciousness and unconsciousness, ordinary and extraordinary; even interest and boredom at times. I think the beauty of this book is not in the answers to its many questions, but it is more in the dreamlike romance produced by the skilled writing of the author, who brings alive her spirit guides for us to get to know and enjoy. I will recommend this book to Spiritualists who will find of interest the fascinating journey we are taken on, and will benefit from its magic and depth. Review by Wendy Stokes
