Enchanted Blossoms

Mind Body & Soul Ezine Card Deck Review: Enchanted Blossoms Empowerment Cards, by Carla Morrrow. Boxed Set of 44 cards plus guidebook. Published by Blue Angel Publishing £17.99

The author and artist, Carla Morrow, introduces us to her autobiography and pays homage to her ancestry with the language of flowers. The guidebook explains how to use the deck. Each card has a title, the name of a flower and the name of a butterfly, with their painted image and a 150 word text and a short question. Journal daily! You have a 30 day challenge with this deck!

Sample reading: Card title: Serenity. Subtitle: Flower lavender (lavadula). Butterfly: Provençal Fritillary (Melitaea deione). Lavender is an ancient and widespread plant used as a culinary herb, ornamental flower, and as a medicinal oil. It is native to Eastern Europe and thrives across northern Africa and into eastern Asia. Lavender is related to the Mint family, and has annual and perennial forms. Lavender oil brings on a state of calming relaxation that was recognised during the Roman era, and is used for the same purpose today. It was considered sacred in ancient times, is one of the holy herbs mentioned in the biblical text, the Song of Solomon. Usually it is applied before sleep or utilised in a calm bath. I can think of no plant that embodies calming like lavender does. Sometimes, it can be difficult to stay calm during the daily run around of a stress riddled life. This card is coaxing you to take a step back and make a quiet time in your day. You are reminded to approach all situations with a calm and level head. There is no reason to make more stress for yourself, so take a deep breath and relax. A five minute mindfulness exercise to clear your head space will help you approach a situation with a ready and open mind. Make sure you relax into a calm, peaceful state of being every evening so that you may get a good nights rest.
Question: How can I approach my day with calmness and serenity?

Suggested spreads are a Single-Card Reading, a Three Card Pillar, and a Chakra-Alignment of seven cards. Journalling is recommended and there is a 30 day challenge.
I like to learn about the flowers and the butterflies. Many flowers and butterflies are becoming rare now, so it is good to promote them and to recognise them!

Beautifully painted. I enjoyed the images and the text.
