The Zerner/Farber Tarot

Mind Body & Soul Ezine Card Deck Review: The Zerner/Farber Tarot by Amy Zerner & Monte Farber. Quality presentation box containing full colour guidebook and 78 cards. Published by REDFeather Publishing. £29.99 release date: April 2023

These cards have extraordinary fabric and collage images, created by Amy Zerner, an award winning artist. Her husband and co-creator has supplied the text, which I can recommend as insightful and wise in helping to get the best from a reading. Together they have produced other excellent tarot publications: Enchanted Tarot, Instant Tarot, Enchanted Love Tarot, Creativity Oracle and the Enchanted Worlds Book.

This is not a deck for ‘fortune telling’. Tarot is not a dictator: it highlights potentials and possibilities that can add to your own inner understanding, not replace it. This is a deck that can be used as a meditative tool and to dialogue with your higher self, as a spiritual guide through life’s major events, and to assist with making good decisions. The guidebook information explains how to use the deck, and how to ask questions to get the best results. Each card has a quick reference guide with keywords, and comes with a page of text that offers upright and reversed meanings with equal importance.

The cards offer an image, a number, a traditional title, a subtitle and keywords. In the book, we have more detailed information. The suits are divided into four colours for Wands, Swords, Hearts and Pentacles. The Court Cards are Princess (or Page), Prince (or Knight), Queen, and King. 12 Spreads are suggested: Mind, Body, Spirit; Law of Attraction; Past, Present, Future; Chakra; The Lucky Horseshoe; Wish-upon-a-Star; Relationship; Spiritual Growth; Tree-of-Life; Mandala; Celtic Cross; and Zodiac Wheel.

This is Marianne Williamson’s favourite contemporary card deck!

Brimming with beauty and nourishing life wisdom! Recommended for tarot beginners and experienced readers! Excellent value for money! One of my all time favourite Tarot decks!
