stirrings of the imagination, and magical sparks of enlightenment.

Virginia Chandler is an active Druid and a valued member of the pagan community. She has brought to life these majestic and mystical of beings within the 207 pages of this wonderful book. It is packed with information and inspiration. She leads us through a wide variety of topics and formulas for interacting and working with the Dragon energy that is very prevalent in the world today.

I felt a revelation dawn as I studied the pages. Many of us cannot help but think about fairy tales and folklore associated with these great mythological beasts. However, it is in this modern digital age that the presence and power - and the love and affection - for Dragons has blossomed as we are able to share our collected knowledge and experiences about such amazing beings.

Which is exactly what this book brings! It's an important piece of the collective dragon puzzle if you will! The Ten chapters are a spectacular resource. We are to keep an open mind but I am assuming, as you are reading this review, that you are very capable of this. Also, we need to bear in mind that everybody is going to have their own unique understanding when working with these formulas, and that these are all valid.

As well as explaining the known Dragon archetypes and history with panache, Virginia Chandler introduces us to practical methods of working with them. I was reading chapter 5 while on a train ride, which takes us through the various archetypes with a meditation for connecting with each, and I was amazed at how profound and powerful this was, even with the distraction of riding on a busy train  I asked the Dragons to stay with me throughout the course of that day, and it turned out to be one of the most magical and unexpected days I have had for a long time! No coincidences! Just sheer magic!

In fact "Sheer magic" is how I would like to sum up and round off this review. Seeking Dragons is a book I will be returning to. It's going to be one for dipping into and cross referencing with for some time to come.  Set to become a classic in the shift of consciousness that is just about to catch up with these concepts .

Excellent work from the lady that also brought us "Year of the Magical Dragon" and has worked on another favourite topic of mine -  Arthurian Lore - with the celebrated John Matthews. The ideal read for kicking off 2024 the Chinese Year of the Dragon. I look forward to more from Virginia Chandler as her love for Dragons is infectious and genuine.
