Spirit of the Animals Oracle

Mind Body & Soul Ezine Card Deck Review: Spirit of the Animals Oracle by Jody Bergsma. Published by U S Games Systems Inc. £25.00

Sample : Moose- Wisdom. The Moose is a powerful totem. This is a powerful totem. It has a unique energy with many contradictions, awkward yet graceful, plain but beautiful and they have a strong presence. Most are masters of wisdom and perception. In spite of their large size, Moose are swift, confident and fearless. They stand 7 feet tall with a crown of antlers almost as wide. The antlers are said to act as antenna in the secrets and teaching from the wise ones. If Moose is your totem, you are a mystic and sit in the council of the ancestors. You are smart and outstanding in your field. You are intuitive, and from an early age you have experienced connections to spirit that have alluded others. You area survivor. Moose live a long life. Your lofty heights are not for the many but for the few. With Moose, you are sure to travel the long winding path to your destiny, wisdom and mastery. If the card falls upside down, have you wondered into negative territory? Have you ignored your intuition and been led down the wrong path? Do not worry. You are a strong individual that can handle anything. When in a struggle, take the higher ground.

“Knowledge is given to us to be passed on. We receive more when we give to others, and if we do not give this knowledge away, we will lose it.”

In the boxed set, we have 51 Animal Spirit Cards, 1 Personal Choice Card, a Custom made Power Animal Spread Sheet and the accompanying guidebook. The art is especially enjoyable and I like the size of the cards. On the card face, with the image, is a title and subtitle and a message. In the guidebook, there are keywords, a write up about the symbol and its message. There is also advice for the reversal of the card when it falls in a reading.

International animal symbolism is featured in this oracle deck and animal totems are explained with information on how to use the cards, reversals, single card choice, and the Personal Choice Card in a reading. There are two suggested spreads: The Medicine Wheel, and Power Animals. Some card titles are: Pronghorn Antelope, Orca Whale, Moose, Lizard, Ladybug, Hawk, Grizzly Bear, Frog, Elk, Dragon, Cat.

The author and artist is from Washington, USA. She is the creator of Magical Times Empowerment Cards and produced the artwork for Spirit of the Wheel Meditation Deck. Check out the precise title of this deck as there are others around that have similar titles. Look for US Games Ststems Inc and Jody Bergsma!
