Mystic Dreamer Tarot

Mind Body & Soul Ezine Card Deck Review: The Mystic Dreamer Tarot boxed set with cards and book titled 'The Dreamer's Journal' by Heidi Darras and Barbara Moore.
These cards are based on traditional tarot card meanings and reversed meanings are provided. Information on how to prepare for a reading, and there are pages for notes as this is a journal/workbook and instructions are given for its use. The card images are partly portrayed in soft tints and sepia colouring. Ask yourself 'what do I need to know about?' There is a 3 card 'past, present and future' suggestion or just lay down as many cards as seems appropriate and read the storyline. Other spread suggestions are provided. The moon is a recurring symbol in this deck, as the moon relates to intuition, creativity, magic and mystery.

The card of the Sun shows a pale looking woman wearing heavy clothes yet she stands in a sunlit flower meadow. She points to a stone archway, a portal to knowledge of other realms. The sun brings a message of joy. Having travelled through the dark night of the soul, enlightenment beckons. Spiritual seeking with sincerity pays off with clarity, trust, the warmth of loving kindness and friendship.

The 8 of Pentacles invites us to use our intuition. It describes a new path and one that requires attention, commitment, passion, aptitude and hard work to learn her art form well. Do not be discouraged, learning is never pointless. On the card, there is an image of a young woman who we see through twin arches looking out on a sea-scape. She hangs the pentacles on the wall of her studio and paints around them, perfecting her art as she works throughout the night.

Barbara Moore provided the text for 'The Gilded Tarot Companion, A Guide to the Mystic Faerie Tarot and Destiny's Portal

This dominant male energy relaxes on his throne on a platform near the edge of the sea. No matter what the turbulence, he is able to enjoy what life had to offer. This king is peaceful, sensitive, affectionate and calm. He loves his home and values family life. He prefers to lead by teaching through gentle guidance. He enjoys expressing himself creatively, but is even more supportive of others' creativity, sometimes at the expense of his own. He is generally friendly and caring, but can be overly sentimental or soft to those who do not know him well.
