The Lantern Oracle

Mind, Body & Soul Ezine Card Deck Review: The Lantern Oracle by Angelina Mirabito, illustrated by Yuly Alejo,  Boxed set of 44 cards plus guidebook, published by Blue Angel Publishing, £17.99

Maybe this is more a deck for young people who will see their age group largely reflected in the illustrations though the deck is divided into four sections, Maiden, Mother, Guardian and Crone so all ages of women are reflected. Information on how to cleanse and use the cards includes a 40 day card working process where journaling is suggested. The book’s write ups assist with times of change, challenge and confusion.

Two other spreads are provided: A 4 card ‘Lantern’, and a 5 card ‘Luminosity’.

Sample: Wisdom in Play, card number 3 is subtitled 'Our intuition knows more than we do!' Playtime is where we express enjoyment and creativity,  and also often learn a great deal from. It is the loveliest way to engage with life, relax, and to explore and learn about ourselves and others! Play allows us to enter a hypothetical space, to indulge without real life consequences for mistakes. In carefree moments, solutions to problems can be revealed. Make believe is fun! The maiden's message is: Honour the value of play and the unexpected situations that arise from it.

Sample: Distorted Perceptions, card number 7 is subtitled 'Reality is rarely what we are raised to believe it is'. How we experience the world changes throughout our life. Such shifts in perception typically occur when an event, a person, place or a new life stage leaves us questioning something integral to what had been our understanding of the world or of ourselves. Much of the limiting and false beliefs we were given does not serve us any longer. We must not blindly repeat, but grow beyond patterns, fears and inadequacies. Our consciousness will shift and we will see things differently as distorted perceptions are released opening to new opportunities and towards self sovereignty.

Illustrations are figurative, photographic and computer graphics. The deck creator and writer has a doctorate in the value of creative writing that involves art, story and symbolism. Her work involves empowering others, self directed healing, alignment and self development.
🌟 Excellent! Recommended! It’s one of my favourites!
