Your Message: The card I have selected for Psychic News Magazine readers shows a soulful lion emerging from an energetic portal. The lion radiates strong and powerful frequencies. When the lion appears in the deck, it means you are a dominant force in your relationships and you have the ability to influence and lead others. It doesn’t matter whether you have a quiet or a flamboyant personality, you affect people in ways you don’t even appreciate. When you are with others (at work or home), balance yourself and don’t push too hard. Ask for help when needed. When you want something done, it might be to your advantage to work together with others. Don’t be afraid of spreading the power when collaborating. If situations in your life are not to your liking, change your frequency. Sometimes roaring doesn’t help. Even though you mean well, it might not always come across that way. Remember, effective leaders always speak from the heart.  

 

Since lions are active at twilight and dusk, they represent potential and magic. Be open to the most unexpected, inspired, and creative ideas. With the lion, anything can happen. You just need to believe in yourself and your amazing talents. The lion is the only cat that lives in a group. It looks out for and defends the members of its pride. Look at your life. Information for beginners on how to use the cards, to read for oneself or for others. Ask an open question, then focus and draw a card. You can draw just one card or draw three cards with a fourth for clarification if you need it. Questions that are suggested relate to either gaining clarity or gaining direction. For example: What do I need to know about this situation? What energy is around this event? What do I need to heal?  The deck provides the artist's painting for the image, a title and subtitle, a message and 3 affirmations. There is an extensive message and affirmations for each card chosen. Cards that are featured include Black Panther, Cougar, Dolphin, Manatee, Raccoon, Rhino, Seahorse, Tarsier, Toucan, Turtle, etc., with two wildcards of Mermaid and Unicorn.

These are especially large cards, 10cm x 14.5cm (4 inches by 5.75 inches) The backs feature two white doves nestling in a circle. I liked the colourful artwork with easy recognition of the animal it represents, and I especially liked the messages which explain the beauty and majesty of the animal chosen, and the surprisingly intelligence that can be gained from studying them and supporting them. I think they make an ideal gift for a nature lover or a young person with an interest in wildlife and for anyone with an interest in power animals or shamanism. For our time, the natural world must be given priority and any spiritual seeker, practitioner or teacher worth half their salt needs to have far greater understanding of our planet and the sacred web of life if we are to hand on a healthy environment to the next generation!
