Hieroglyphic Words of Power

Mind Body & Soul Ezine Book Review: Hieroglyphic Words of Power - Symbols for Magic, Divination & Dreamwork by Normandi Ellis. Published by Bear & Co. US $20 : Can $24.99 : UK Kindle £8.99 and quality paperback with b/w illustrations £13.99

Dr Normandi Ellis is an award winning author, mentor, minister, environmentalist, and archpriestess with the Fellowship of Isis. She is also the author of Awakening Osiris (translation of the Egyptian Book of the Dead) and Imagining the World into Existence. You are learning from a real expert here! You get your money’s worth!

This is quite a study course in working with the magic of hieroglyphics (316 pages)! Hieroglyphics are Egyptian designs of great antiquity (Pyramid Texts from 2,460BCE); they are sacred words and names that bestow power. They can be invoked in emergencies or used for meditation where this power is strengthened. They can be used as an oracle. Two spreads are suggested, The Dendera Zodiac and The Djed Pillar of Tree of Life. There are five readings, The Sphinx, The Conversational, The Daily Numerology,  The Ennead (Journey) and the Ogdoad. These symbols can be use to create an amulet, or used for ritual and dream work. 60 deities have their hieroglyphics detailed. Notes, a Bibliography, and, like any academic book - an Index is provided.

The book covers many topics - dreams, healing, scriptures, meditation, numerology, astrology, historical research, art, Kabbalah, kundalini, love, breathwork, poetry, and all the great powerful deities of the Egyptian pantheon, how to make your own hieroglyphic oracle cards and amulets, and so much more that is exciting and wonderful. The subject took me into ancient times, when everything was made by hand, for its usefulness, and usually with a strong emphasis on expertise, beauty and perfection. I think my ability to conceptualise has improved by working with these ancient symbols. Thank you Normandi

Rich and Meaty! Each page spoke to me! Recommended.
