Several major deities are detailed, such as Gaia, Pele, Odin, Brigid, Aradia, and others with their myths (stories with a truth), their respective tasks, how to walk the path of each, their specific meditations and invocations. Ceremonies are outlined, such as births, naming, puberty, hand fasting, and croning. The seasonal rites for Northern and Southern hemisphere are given, and there is a useful reference section. 

 

What is the priestess? It is one who gives service to the community – the days of the Gurus are over! We are not followers, courting blind admiration, nor ‘power over’ dominatrix but proactive conduits and role models who share power and knowledge for the benefit of all without prejudice, judgement or criticism. We wish to improve lives. The Priestess is a title earned through a lifetime of seeking. Not that we know it all, but realise we do not know it all, so we learn and grow and develop daily. There is no one way to be. We each have a very personal path, learning from others in greater and greater depth, and in evermore simplicity. Knowing right from wrong, who others see on the outside is immaterial, it is who we are on the inside that matters. 

This is a practical guide that assists you to honour the deities, respect nature, treasure time, help others, notice cycles and believe in yourself. If you haven’t selected a deity to devote yourself to, this excellent introductory course gives a foundation and first steps in priestess practice. Keep a journal of your experiences!
