Breathe in his crystalline light to create greater honesty and understanding within your mind. Close your eyes and imagine you’re in a child. What age, size, mood, and other meaningful impressions do you see? Write it down, and invite the child to write through you. Listen as a compassionate observer. Take a breath in and read their message. Now write again from your heart in response. Swap over as many times as it feels appropriate. Stay heart centred and enjoy the space of acknowledging and sharing truth. Know your emotions do not define you, yet by listening to them, cycles of destructive behaviour can end. Give love to your inner child as you resolve to make peace with the past. No matter what happened, you don’t have to live in the painful days of the past. Ask your inner child how you can honour them in your everyday life. Then close the exercise by giving each other a big hug. As you thank Gabriel notice how different you feel. In the Bible angels are male, but here all these are female even those like Michael that are traditionally masculine. The guidebook explains how to use the cards, work with their energies, create connections, cleanse and store the cards and what each card means. Reversals are also explained, Angel attributes, the archeiai, an index of archangels, and much more. 

Each card offers a number, an illustration, a title and subtitle, an Angel message, and an extended message. There is an exercise on how to rise like an Angel for each card and a blessing for each. There are examples of spreads and healing spreads, details of well known archangels, such as Michael, Raphael, Gabriel and Uriel, and other lesser known, like your Guardian Angel. 

The author is a former research scientist who lives in Scotland. Her first book was about the Archeiai and her latest book, Unicorn Rising has won awards. She teaches Unicorn healing and Angel healing, which are her specialities.

I very much enjoyed reading about these angels and how they can affect both my life and the lives of those I give readings to. I use the deck for a randomly chosen card as a gift for friends’ birthdays and they keep the energy for power and enjoyment and have shared it with family. There is a variety and depth which I think the author brings to the readings through her academic past career. 

There is a lot to learn about using this oracle, and it might be a little more complex than what some people are looking for, such as a simple reading for a friend. It might not be suitable for young or new oracle readers. Plenty of woo woo for those who seek it and plenty of channelled information. I liked the exercises that come with each card.
