Monthly Oracle Reading

The first card I have chosen for December is from The Angel Oracle and is titled 'Discernment'. It bears the inscription "Through the grace of the divine, I am able to know the right path". This angel has risen above the clouds of confusion, and holds an orb of clarity. When we focus on the light, we are able to see the highest good. This card teaches us to honour our inner voice, which guides us towards the development of our spiritual gifts and skills. It will help us to sense the healthiest path open to us. This might not be the most popular or easiest path, but it is a true and wise one and one that is intelligent and heartfelt. We can pray to this angel to help us to develop greater insight, to hear the angels when they whisper to us in warning, or to direct us to take a particular path which is of integrity, autheniticity and transparency.



Secondly, I have drawn from Journey to the Goddess Realm by Lisa Porter, the card of White Buffalo Woman. The card is of accountability, solution-orientation, of unity, peace, caring, diversity, teamwork, healthy group dynamics, co-operation, peaceful accord, sharing, growth. Its antithesis is totalitarianism, division, corruption, shifting blame, enslavement, disunity and tensions. 
When White Buffalo Woman visited the Lakota tribe, she taught them to live in harmony. She came from the stars and gave the Holy Chanunpa peace pipe. She taught them about the precious needs of Mother Earth and about sacred ritual. She explained the changes that will come one day. We are all one family, and must put aside ego. When we are divided, we are weak, when united, we are strong.

 
This next card is from Tarot for Magical Times. The 9 of Swords offers 'a time of awakening' when a new thought dawns! Something that was unexplored will be penetrated, internal contradictions will be sorted out. It is a time of creativity. In ancient tales of the Earth's creation, light is separated from darkness on the first day. Here, you awaken from ignorance and ambiguity. You are to be aware and protect yourself from rash responses and get acquainted with new knowledge and concepts. 

From Isis Oracle, 'Rising Sun - the Divine Solar Child is Reborn'. A dark phase of struggle is over. A new phase of hope, glory, light and triumph has begun. This is won through persistence, so stay strong, surrender to the divine. You have been through so much that a new consciousness is born in you. Through difficult times, we must be patient even when we feel alone, bereft and assailed by dreams and fantasies. During times of difficulty, we find faith and our search is blessed as we go through the womb of the great mother and we emerge, transformed and closer to the Divine Child within us. We have gain a new relationship, work opportunities, new inspiration for a spiritual path, more love and enjoyment, an energised community spirit. These sweet gifts are the 'Cosmic Baby Shower', the fruits of your inner labour during times of hardship and difficulty. This card, showing Isis feeding her offspring, Horus, brings with it a new sunrise, a breakthrough, the end of a struggle, and the birth of optimism. Rise at dawn and go outside into nature. Feel the soil beneath your feet and the air around your body. Your solar plexus greets the early morning sun. Open your hands, palms facing upwards, facing the sun, and raise your arms slowly in celebration, joy and acknowledgement of all the sun provides. Say 'I honour the Rising Sun within, without! New life I honour now!' When ready lower your arms and recite this incantation: Rising Sun, I am your solar child, I bask in your love free and wild. I am filled with you hope endless and free, your light and live fills all parts of me. The darkness cast away, joy is now born, with the sweetness of this great and spiritual new dawn.
