Visionary Path Tarot

Mind, Body & Soul Ezine Card Deck Review: Visionary Path Tarot, by Lucy Delics, published by Park Street Press.
The writer and artist provides autobiographic information about her life in the booklet. The cards were channelled by plant hallucinogens on a trip to the Andes, Peru, for ayahuasca to heal the pain of her past. This and magic mushrooms feature within the artwork which has a psychedelic influence on the black and white, intricately designed artwork! I wanted to colour it in!  Because the cards are not always easy to read and do not contain many symbols, the reader must rely on their intuition.

The cards have little instruction so are best used by experienced tarot users. But pick a card in the morning  and watch out for how it affects your day. A card could be drawn for a ceremony or journey. A Three-Card spread could reveal past, present and future, mind, body and spirit, or you, your family and your relationships. The Five-Card spread for greater awareness. The Celtic Cross Spread is for in depth reading and The Horseshoe Spread of Seven Cards for advice for relationship problems.

A psychedelic influence on the tarot with shamanic principles of convoluted, detailed and hallucinogenic drug induced designs. Author and self taught artist, Lucy Delics’ experience of ayahuasca and magic mushrooms has inspired this deck. Upright and reversed card meanings are provided.

Some would find the artwork cards difficult to read. I found them a bit cluttered and got in the way of the readings, however for those who understand the complexity of these images and can see past them, you might get a wild and creative reading.
