Among many things they can help you manifest abundance and understand the feminine cycles within nature. Crystals: moonstone, selenite and white howlight. You have an affinity with the moon, which is why Archeia Haniel is attracted to your luminous light. You are a priestess at  heart, a healer and lover of the natural world. Happy and contented in your own skin, you no longer seek reassurance from anybody as you have nothing to prove to the world. Archeia Haniel acknowledges you as an asset to the spiritual community. Continue illuminating the path for others by setting a shining example. Be a living testament to how spirituality enriches lives. If people turn to you for guidance, lead them gently. Allow them to discover their own insights as this is the true essence of a great spiritual teacher. Remember to recharge your batteries after providing a listening ear, otherwise your psychic insights could become distorted. Bask under the moonlight and ask Haniel to wrap you in her brilliant white light so your aura remains crystal clear. Additional meanings: you are sensitive to the phases of the moon and are a natural born healer, psychic and mystic. Join or create a sisterhood circle. Keep your next moves to yourself. Retreat inward. Track your menstrual cycle, if applicable. Actions: make a wish on the next new or full moon. Affirmation: by the power of the moon upon this night, I embrace feminine wisdom and glean insight.”

The Egyptian Origins of King David and The Temple of Solomon

Mind Body & Soul Ezine Book Review: The Egyptian Origins of King David & The Temple of Solomon by Ahmed Osman. Published by Bear & Co. US $18.00: Can $22.50

The book’s dedication states it is : “To the followers of Hermes Trismagistus - those people, in different parts of the world, who never forgot the wisdom of ancient Egypt.”

The text questions the accepted narrative of the Old Testament to show its parallels in Egyptian history, including the origin of the 10 Commandments. Akhenaton, the first monotheist Egyptian king is presented as the prophet Moses. Tutmosis III is King David and Tuthmosis III was Solomon. The coronation of king Solomon is in accordance with Egyptian coronation customs and his reputation as a visionary, an animal whisperer, a magician and exorcist (using his ring to command demons with its Seal of Solomon). Solomon was said to have used demons to build Jerusalem and he imprisoned the spirits in water pots in the Temple when it was built. It also states that Isaac’s father was pharaoh Tuthmose III who married Sarah (Queen). Though Solomon founded Jerusalem with a Temple and Palace though evidence of these have not been found. After the Babylonian invasion and exile of 586BC, Cyrus of Persia defeated the Babylonians and gave permission to the Jews to return to their homeland to rebuild their Temple and this was completed around 6th century BCE, destroyed by the Romans in 70AD.

Oracle card reading for August

The first card for August is from Lo Scarabeo Tarot by Mark McElroy with artwork by Anna Lazzarini. Here we have card III titled ‘Empress’. It depicts a contented pregnant lady with a crown of twelve stars, sitting in nature with fruit hanging on the trees and birds flying in the sky. The corn and fruit is ready! She is the epitome of fertility and a plentiful harvest. This card, when it comes up in a spread, is fortuitous and implies a time of easy living, creativity and gratitude. Enjoy yourself when you have the opportunity, whether with friends or alone, give thanks for all you have. At this time, when many are facing redundancy, loss of job or home, loss of security for the future, loss of health or loved ones, the time is now -to give thanks!

Next we have Page of Pentacles from the Sharman-Caselli deck. There is unfilled potential and new beginnings foretold here. Destiny unfolds in its own time and cannot be hurried. Ideas and projects are in their early stages for you. Lay down firm foundations now in order to achieve success and a good outcome. This card is associated with hard work, determination and diligence. It also heralds the meeting of a thoughtful and serious person who either helps you, or sets a good example to you. The time is now, seize the day!
Thirdly, from Titania’s Star Tarot, we have card number 9 titled ‘The Sage’. This is the card of ancient wisdom which needs to become ours for us to grow in stature and power. The symbol is of an elderly person at the top of a high place. Here the energy is beyond the materialistic and egotistic as it holds enlightenment in its hand. It focuses on peace and goodwill and urges deep inner thoughts and stillness. We can all find a place to be alone, to contemplate, to distance ourselves from the problems of the world. Speech is silver but silence is gold. Act prudently. Consider others. Stand alone if you have to.

From Numerology Guidance Cards by Michelle Buchanan, I have chosen the last card as ‘Nature’ with the number 74 which reads ‘I spend time in nature and align myself with Source’. It indicates the need to spend more time in nature which has the capacity to heal and replenish your energy levels, especially if you are tired, anxious or depressed or have been using modern technology. A ten minute walk will revitalise, balance and ground you. Now is the time to harmonise with natural rhythms and cycles of life.
